A Paid Feature Is Blocked or Shows an Upgrade Prompt

You can tell whether the block is caused by the plan, inactive subscription, or a role requirement.

Any signed-in member

Check the active plan and the exact action before asking an Owner to review billing.

Before you start

Role needed: any signed-in member. Ask an Owner if an action is unavailable.

1

Identify the blocked action

Filtered CSV export, starting a new Physical Inventory Audit, creating a new recurring schedule, and maintenance reminder emails require an active Starter-or-higher subscription.

The isolated Free-plan example shows the actual new-audit plan gate; no audit was started.
2

Check role and active subscription

Some actions also require a role: asset management/import and notification preferences are Owner/Admin; Billing is Owner-only. A paid plan must also show an active subscription.

Example Free-plan billing page and current plan cards. No billing action was selected.
3

Continue existing work where supported

On Free, continue an already-started audit or existing recurring schedule, use fixed report viewing and CSV import within limits, and create one-time maintenance. Ask the Owner about any new paid workflow.

Tips

Troubleshooting

The plan appears correct but the action remains blocked.

Check: Review both subscription status and the signed-in role on the Billing or relevant settings page.

Fix: Ask the Owner to review the current account status and contact OrbitEquip support if the page appears inconsistent.
