About OrbitEquip
We're building the simplest way for trade teams to know who has which tool.
OrbitEquip keeps a shared record of who has each tool, and crews use it from a phone browser with no app to install.
Why OrbitEquip exists
Shared tools move. They go between people, vans, shops and jobsites, often in the same week. When the record falls behind, nobody can say for sure who has what, when it's due back, or what needs maintenance.
Spreadsheets and whiteboards work for a while, then they fall behind. Many tools built for this are broad asset suites or hardware trackers, and that can be more than a crew needs. OrbitEquip is built for the simpler job: a clear record of who has each tool.
What we believe
Simple beats complete.
We'd rather do the core job well than become a broad asset suite. The core job is knowing who has each tool, when it's due back, and what needs maintenance.
Price by tools, not people.
Every plan includes unlimited users, so adding a crew member never changes what you pay.
Use the phone you already have.
The QR workflow runs in a mobile browser, with no app to install and no tracking hardware to buy.
A free plan that stays free.
The Free plan is permanent, for up to 25 tools, with no credit card. It is not a trial.
Honest about what we're not.
OrbitEquip is not a GPS, RFID or BLE tracker, and it is not a CMMS or ERP. When another tool fits your job better, our comparison guide says so.
Built in the open.
We keep a changelog and roadmap in public, so you can see what has shipped and what we are exploring next.
