Check the browser's camera permission and switch to Type or Browse if the device cannot scan.

Before you start

Role needed: any signed-in member. Ask an Owner if an action is unavailable.

1

Check the browser and page permission

Use the secure app.orbitequip.com site and check the browser's site settings for camera permission. If the browser denied the request, allow camera access and reload Scan.

Example phone-browser state where the browser cannot find a camera; Type and Browse remain available.
2

Close other camera use

Close another app or browser tab that may be using the camera, then reopen the Scan tab and try again.

3

Continue with a fallback

Choose Type to enter an OrbitEquip QR or Existing Barcode value. Choose Browse to search by asset name, serial number, barcode, or QR code.

Use Type when you can read an identifier but cannot scan it.
Browse searches by asset name, serial number, Existing Barcode, or QR code.
