Check the label and camera view, then reprint the same asset label or use a lookup fallback.

Before you start

Role needed: any signed-in member. Ask an Owner if an action is unavailable.

1

Check the label and camera view

Make sure the whole QR is visible, the surface is clean, and the phone can focus on it. Move glare or dirt away and try again from Scan.

Example phone-browser state where the browser cannot find a camera; Type and Browse remain available.
2

Use Type or Browse to keep working

If the code is still readable, enter it under Scan → Type. If you know the asset name, serial number, or barcode, use Browse.

Use Type when you can read an identifier but cannot scan it.
Browse searches by asset name, serial number, Existing Barcode, or QR code.
3

Reprint a damaged or missing label

An Owner or Admin can open Labels, search for the asset, and print its existing OrbitEquip label. Apply it and test it from Scan.

Filter labels, then choose Print all labels. The crop ends above QR artwork.

Troubleshooting

The label is readable but the camera still does not recognize it.

Check: Confirm camera access is allowed and try the Type fallback with the code.

Fix: If Type succeeds, reprint the existing label; if the camera is blocked, use the browser permission steps.
