Reconcile Missing or Unexpected Audit Findings
A discrepancy has an explicit recorded decision while the audit's original physical result remains unchanged.
On this page
Choose an explicit follow-up after you have checked a fixed audit result.
Before you start
Role needed: Owner or Admin. Ask an Owner if an action is unavailable.
Plan needed: This task is available on Free. Existing records may remain available after a downgrade; see the plan guide for details.
Helpful first:
Review the completed audit item
Open Audits, select the completed audit, and review the asset snapshot, physical result, current record, and whether a reconciliation has already been recorded.
Choose Accept Current State when no asset change is needed
Select Accept Current State to record that the current asset records are acknowledged. This does not move or reassign the asset.
Move only an eligible unexpected asset
For an Unexpected item in a Location Audit, OrbitEquip offers Move to Audited Location only when the item is a live, unassigned asset eligible for that action. Select it and review the confirmation. The confirmation states that this changes only the asset's location; select Confirm Move only when the destination is correct.
Correct custody through Scan
For an Assignee Audit discrepancy, use Correct Custody in Scan and complete the normal check-in/check-out workflow. Do not treat the audit scan as a custody change.
Tips
Keep in mind
Troubleshooting
The move action is not available.
Check: Confirm the audit is a Location Audit and the item is Unexpected, live, unassigned, and not already reconciled.
Fix: If those conditions do not apply, use Accept Current State or correct the asset through its normal workflow.
