Resolve the current work item and confirm OrbitEquip creates the next scheduled occurrence.

Before you start

Role needed: Owner or Admin. Ask an Owner if an action is unavailable.

Plan needed: This task is available on Free. Existing records may remain available after a downgrade; see the plan guide for details.

1

Open the current occurrence

Find the scheduled work on the asset detail or Dashboard. Review the work description and due date.

Mark the current occurrence In Progress while the maintenance work is underway.
2

Update its status as work progresses

Choose Change Status and set the current occurrence to In Progress while the work is underway.

3

Resolve the completed work

When the work is complete, choose Change Status → Resolved. Review Maintenance History and the new scheduled occurrence to confirm OrbitEquip calculated the next due date from the configured interval.

After resolving an occurrence, the next due date appears on the new scheduled task.
Maintenance History keeps the resolved occurrence alongside the next scheduled occurrence.
