Understand Owner, Admin, and Worker Roles

Your team knows who can complete each task and when an Owner or Admin must help.

Any signed-in member

See who can manage assets, invite teammates, reconcile audits, and open billing.

Before you start

Role needed: any signed-in member. Ask an Owner if an action is unavailable.

1

Use Owner for organization-level responsibility

The Owner can manage assets and team roles, run administrative workflows, reconcile audit discrepancies, and manage Billing. The Owner role cannot be changed or removed through the member controls.

Role labels and member names are synthetic examples; member email addresses are blurred.
2

Use Admin for day-to-day setup

Admins can manage assets, categories, locations, team access, imports, maintenance scheduling/statuses, and audit reconciliation. An Admin can manage Workers but cannot modify another Admin or promote a member to Admin.

3

Use Worker for field operations

Workers can use Scan for check-out/check-in, view operational records and reports, participate in Physical Inventory Audits, and report maintenance issues. Workers cannot manage asset records, import CSV, manage team or billing, or reconcile discrepancies.

Example phone-browser state where the browser cannot find a camera; Type and Browse remain available.

A menu item or action is missing.

Check: Compare the task with the role permissions above and confirm whether a paid plan is also required.

Fix: Ask an Owner to complete the action, change the member's role, or review the Billing page.
