Owner or Admin

Organize tools by the groups and places your crews actually use.

Before you start

Role needed: Owner or Admin. Ask an Owner if an action is unavailable.

1

Open Locations

Choose Locations in the app navigation and select Add Location. Enter a name; the address is optional. Use a consistent name for a shop, vehicle, or jobsite.

Location names and address are synthetic examples in an isolated local test workspace.
2

Open Categories

Choose Categories and select Add Category. Create a small set of useful groups, such as Power Tools or Hand Tools, before importing a large list.

3

Apply them to assets

Choose a category and location while adding or editing an asset. Use Assets filters to review the records in each group or place.

The form shows the optional fields alongside the required asset name.
Synthetic sample assets illustrate the filters; names and serials are test data.
