Scan Says a Label Is Not in Your Account
You know whether to sign in with a different account, accept a pending invitation, or ask your team to invite your email address.
On this page
Check which account you are signed into, accept a pending team invitation, or ask your team to invite you.
Before you start
Role needed: any signed-in member. Ask an Owner if an action is unavailable.
Check the account you are signed into
The card shows the email address you are signed in with. If you have more than one OrbitEquip account, sign out and sign in with the account your team invited.
Accept a pending invitation
If the card lists a team invitation, choose Accept Invitation and follow Accept a Team Invitation. The same invitation also appears as a banner on Dashboard and Scan.
Ask your team to invite you
If no invitation is listed, ask the person who manages your tools to invite the email address shown on the card. An Owner or Admin can send the invitation from Team. Owners and Admins can also choose Add Asset on the card when the tool belongs in this account.
Check the label value
If you typed the value, check it for a missing or extra character. Use Browse to search by asset name or serial number when you know the tool.

When something looks wrong
Troubleshooting
Open the issue that matches what you are seeing, then work through the check before applying the fix.
I scanned a label and it says it's not in my account.
Check
Confirm you are signed in with the account your team invited. The card shows the email address you are signed in with.
Fix
If you are signed in with a different account, sign out and sign in with the invited one. If the card shows Accept Invitation, choose it to join the team first.
I accepted the invitation, but the label is still not in my account.
Check
Confirm the label was printed from the team you joined. A label from another team is not visible to your account.
Fix
Ask an Owner or Admin of that team to check the tool's record and its label on the Labels page.
